Director of Treatment Integration
MO Behavioral Health Council
Jefferson City, Missouri
Natalie Cook is the director of treatment integration at the Missouri Behavioral Health Council in Jefferson City, Mo. She earned her psychology degrees from Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas. Natalie chose the behavioral health field after seeing her brother struggle with mental illness and substance use disorders as an adolescent. She used her education and training to provide direct care to youth, adults and families before recognizing her strengths and passion for what she calls “behind the scenes work” and took an administrative job with the Missouri Department of Mental Health. She spent over 10 ½ years in various positions with the state and was able to take policy and procedure and conceptualize it into practice guidance for community behavioral health agencies. In her current role with the Council, she has been able to work more closely with providers in helping them implement practice change designed to meet the need of an ever-changing landscape in integrated behavioral health care. Ms. Cook greatly enjoys hearing providers share their successes and the impact this has brought to the lives of many Missourians.
