Chris Maxedon, FSA, MAAA is a Vice President of Strategy and Innovation for UnitedHealthcare's Community & State (Medicaid) business. UnitedHealthcare Community & State proudly serves nearly six million Medicaid members, including more than 2.7 million children, in 31 states, plus Washington D.C. As a Vice President in innovation, Chris works to source, vet, and intake clinical provider partners serving the Medicaid community with new and innovative programs shepherding the provider through the internal approval process, contract negotiations, pilot set up, performance measurement, and early scale throughout the national footprint of UnitedHealthcare Community & State. Prior to serving as Vice President of Strategy and Innovation Chris worked for 10 years within UnitedHealthcare’s actuarial organization with a vast majority of his career focused on Medicaid and external partnerships with State Medicaid Agencies.
Chris earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics with an Actuarial Specialty from the University of Minnesota, and is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries.
