Jody Horstman, PhD, HSPP - Chief Operating Officer, Integrated Services at Aspire Indiana Health
Dr. Jody Horstman is a licensed clinical psychologist and clinical addictions counselor currently serving as Chief Operating Officer, Integrated Services at Aspire Indiana Health, an integrated health system in central Indiana. Originally from southern California, Dr. Horstman began working within the community mental health system in Indiana in 1990 and joined Aspire in 2012. Originally focused on working with youth and families, Dr. Horstman became more involved over time in partnering with Indiana's state systems on initiatives and collaborations. Eventually, this expanded to other populations and service lines and gained her valuable perspective realted to the interactions and interdependencies within healthcare. Her interest and experience with systems led to her current role focused on the integration of services within Aspire’s FQHC, CCBHC, addiction treatment and recovery, and social drivers of health. Dr. Horstman also has considerable experience and interest in disaster mental health, Psychological First Aid, resilience, and clergy well-being; all of which have come in handy over the past two years with COVID. In her free time, she will almost always opt for scuba diving (or ocean, in general,) hiking and backpacking, or traveling. On slower days, she enjoys puzzles, reading and enjoying being with friends. Dr. Horstman uses humor as a coping skill and has been heard to say, "This will make a great story...later."
