Delve into clinical information for working with the trans community by addressing the needs of transgender individuals who seek treatment for mental health and/or substance use disorders. The presentation covers the “trans umbrella” to assist clinicians to understand the distinctions between gender fluid, trans, F2M, M2F, third gender, gender queer, intersex and non-binary and what perspective, history and challenges these groups of people bring into treatment and recovery from addiction.
