Creating an Organizational Approach to Health Equity
There are two primary issues that play a role in the ability of individuals from minority groups to access mental health and substance use treatment: the social determinants of health and health disparities. Both must be addressed at the highest level of a treatment organization. This full day, interactive Preconference University will provide leadership of treatment organizations with tools to better understand the social determinants of health, health disparities and racial and social justice and an implementation framework for transforming service provisions to address these issues.
