OPT Out Program Manager Carolinas CARE Partnership Charlotte, North Carolina
We are beginning Year 3 of a five-year SAMHSA grant seeking to decrease stigma and increase access to services for LGBTQ+ youth and young adults and people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) who are disproportionately affected by substance use disorders (SUDs). Our Task Force, comprised of the various Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of American (CADCA) sectors, works across 10 counties in North and South Carolina. We will identify three specific strategies and help you engage your community to make SUD prevention, harm reduction and treatment more accessible to LGBTQ+ youth and young adults and PLWHA.
