Friday, April 28, 2023 Registration & Breakfast: 8:00 AM - 8:30 AM CT Scientific Session: 8:30 AM - 10:00 AM CT McCormick Place Convention Center In-Person + Live Streaming Satellite Symposium
Non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC) has been primarily managed with resection and intravesical immunotherapy (BCG) and chemotherapy for several years. For patients with BCG-resistant NMIBC, cystectomy remains the standard of care. Recently, immune checkpoint inhibitors have been incorporated into the treatment paradigm for patients, and numerous novel strategies are under investigation for BCG-unresponsive, as well as BCG-naïve, NMIBC.
This live satellite symposium, ancillary to AUA2023, will include a discussion of unmet needs for treating NMIBC in the era of BCG shortages and novel treatment strategies, including those targeting interleukin-15, blue light cystoscopy, urine based testing, and gene therapy. Expert faculty will discuss the potential these agents confer for expanding the NMIBC treatment armamentarium in the near future.
This educational program is directed toward medical oncologists, surgical oncologists, urologists, and other physicians interested in the treatment of bladder cancer.
