Joseph (Joey) M. Scaletta is a Infection Control Consultant with the U.S. National Institutes of Health Clinical Center. Mr. Scaletta received his Master’s Degree of Public Health from Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine and holds Bachelor of Science Degrees from Towson University and Fort Hays State University. He has served as Chair for the APIC's Education Committee and is currently an APIC Board Member and serves as APIC Treasurer. He has been board certified in infection control since 2007. His professional interests include infection prevention and control in low-resource settings. He has served in the U.S. Peace Corps, participated in medical missions in South America, and worked in an 80-bed Ebola Treatment Unit in Sierra Leone at the height of the 2013-2015 Ebola outbreak.
