Kimberly Knight is the University Hospital Physician Services, Infection Preventionist. She is the Clinical Co-chair for the Ambulatory Environment of Care Life Safety Committee. Kim is an active member in the National Ambulatory Infection Prevention network of the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC) as well as the Northeast Ohio APIC chapter. In her career, Kim has 20 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, including ambulatory infection prevention and management.
In her role, Kim has worked extensively with sterilization of instruments in the ambulatory setting. Currently, she partners with system leaders to help drive initiatives on high level disinfection and sterilization.
Kim has a Bachelors of Science, Biological Sciences degree from University of California, Santa Barbara. Additionally, Kim has earned a degree in Bachelors of Science, Nursing from University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee with honors. Along with healthcare opportunities, Kim has worked in different academic lab settings
