Roger Carrillo MD, MBA is the Chief of Surgical Electrophysiology at Palmetto General Hospital in Hialeah, Florida. Dr Carrillo trained at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine at the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery from 1972-1974. He then continued to practice at the University of Miami for over 40 years, becoming an expert in the management of Cardiovascular Implantable Electronic Devices (CIED) and CIED Infections before moving to his current role as Chief of Surgical Electrophysiology at Palmetto General Hospital. He has performed over 3,000 cardiac surgeries and is a pioneer in the field of CIED management.
