Anna Floyd is a System Infection Preventionist supporting the southern region of Houston Methodist hospitals and physician offices. After graduating with a degree in Chemistry from Austin College and a Master of Public Health from the University of Texas Health Science Center of Houston, Anna entered the health care field in 2013 as an Infection Preventionist. Anna has maintained board certification in infection control since 2015. During her career, Anna has been involved in multiple research studies focused on the prevention of communicable and health care associated infections. She leads and supports numerous initiatives related to process improvement, standardized workflow, emergency response, and high-consequence infectious disease response. She has extensive knowledge in specialized areas of infection control that include root cause analysis leading to targeted prevention efforts, regulatory accreditation readiness, environmental hygiene, sterilization, and building construction.
