Alison Galdys, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases and International Medicine at the Univeristy of Minnesota. Dr. Galdys also serves as the Assistant Medical Director of Infection Prevention and as Assistant Hospital Epidemiologist at the University of Minnesota Medical Center. Her research interests include the use of molecular techniques to detect transmission patterns of bacteria in healthcare settings. In addition to her Infection Prevention roles, Dr. Galdys has a clinical practice that consists of caring for general inpatient and outpatient infectious diseases. Her areas of clinical interest include Clostridioides difficile infection and orthopedic infections.
