This skills-building session will engage State Title V Directors and Federal program staff in an interactive discussion on the Title V Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Services Block Grant program and emerging issues impacting maternal and child health populations. This session will be framed around the guiding principles of the Guidance, ongoing implementation of the Guidance and discussion of the revisions for the next iteration. In addition, time to discuss the impact of recent emerging issues on the MCH population and services, and the State Title V program response.
Specific topics to be discussed during this session include: (1) overview of the reporting requirements for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2024 Application/FY 2022 Annual Report; (2) update on revision to the Title V MCH Services Block Grant Guidance; (3) discussion of HRSA/HHS priorities and emerging issues and implications for the work of the MCH Block Grant; and (4) technical assistance available to advance the work of State Title V programs.
