Jessi Fuchs, MPH is a CSTE Applied Epidemiology Fellow with the Maternal & Child Health Epidemiology Program at the New Mexico Department of Health. She began working in New Mexico in 2021, shortly after receiving her Master of Public Health in Epidemiology & Biostatistics from Boston University School of Public Health. In Boston, she worked with a needle exchange program and was a Research Assistant on studies relating to Substance Use Disorder and experiences with depression and chronic pain. Her work with the New Mexico Department of Health relates primarily to aggregating, analyzing, and disseminating maternal mortality and maternal morbidity data, with a focus on perinatal and postpartum substance use.
