Mikayla received an MPH degree in Epidemiology from the University of Michigan, and also holds a Bachelors in Anthropology: Global Health and the Environment with minors in Psychological and Brain Sciences and Children’s Studies. Mikayla is an early career epidemiologist with an interest in and passion for reproductive health, workforce development, and equitable program evaluation. She is driven by the principles of social justice, health and racial equity, and systems change. Mikayla is steadfastly committed to leadership development, continuous personal and professional improvement, and learning from her network of mentors and peers.
Currently, she is primarily involved on the Pritzker/Kellogg Healthy Beginnings with Title V Project as an epi/data complement to provide capacity-building assistance and project evaluation; the Graduate Student Epidemiology Program (GSEP) as the student experience coordinator, curriculum developer, and lead evaluator; and the Emergency Preparedness and Response Action Learning Collaborative (EPR ALC) as a program administrator and implementor, among other projects.
