Dr. Stacy Scott leads the National Institute for Children's Health Quality's (NICHQ) anti-racism and social justice work and serves as a champion of positive equitable change. As the VP of Health Equity Innovation, she directs several projects focusing on operating under an equity framework, including the Equity Systems Continuum (ESC) project. Dr. Scott supports multiple teams by engaging diverse partners to represent the populations needed to promote health equity. She specializes in coalition building and authentic community engagement working in concert with quality improvement techniques to enhance the opportunity to make positive change in the lives of many. She is a 30-year public health advocate and infant safe sleep expert, spearheading numerous community outreach programs nationwide to end health disparities and reduce the risk of sudden unexpected infant deaths (SUID), and founded the Global Infant Safe Sleep (GISS) Center in 2016.
