Leslie Osorio Pascual is a first-generation Hispanic student. She is a final-year BSPH student in Department of Health Education and Promotion within the College of Health and Human Performance at East Carolina University. Ms. Osorio Pascual will be graduating with a bachelor’s degree in public health with a concentration in community health, a minor in nutrition, and a certificate in maternal and child health. She is a current trainee of East Carolina University's LEAP program, called Maternal and Child Health Scholars Training, and Enrichment Program (MCH-STEP). Her area of interests includes working to increase the health equity of underserved populations, immigrant Hispanic families and children. She will be pursuing her MPH in epidemiology upon graduation. Ms. Osorio Pascual hopes to become a Maternal and Child Health epidemiologist.
