Patient safety is paramount in practice. Too often HCPs are unaware of risks that can impact the well-being of patients. During this workshop, participants will help identify common oral health practice errors. Participants will develop and implement key pillars necessary to create a culture of patient safety and reduce/mitigate risk in the clinical and educational context. This will begin with educating students on these pillars and extending throughout our profession through continuing education. Key pillars will include the importance of transparency, sharing adverse events, storytelling, risk management, and implementation of best practices to avoid them. Participants will receive additional resources.
