Erica Caffrey, DDS is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Maryland and Assistant Program Director for the pediatric dentistry residency program. She is a graduate of Columbia University of College of Dental Medicine and completed her specialty training at Children's National Hospital in Washington, DC. She has assumed leadership roles within the AAPD Council for Clinical Affairs, the American Academy of Pediatrics Section on Oral Health and the American Public Health Association, and is a member of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry Qualifying Examination Committee. Dr. Caffrey is a recipient of the 2022-2023 ABPD research fellowship award, and will present her work exploring the engagement of program directors in the process of board certification.
