Dr. Adaniya is the Chief Data Officer at the Drug Enforcement Administration. Previously, Naomi lead the Criminal Division’s Data Analytics Collaborative, an innovative team of data scientists and policy analysts helping to advance strategic initiatives for the Department, as well the Division, and supporting ongoing criminal investigations and prosecutions with partner agencies. She previously was the Director of both the Criminal Division Fraud Section’s Health Care Fraud Data Analytics Team and the Department’s Opioid Fraud and Abuse Detection Unit, a pilot program to utilize data to help combat the devastating opioid crisis. For her exemplary service, Naomi received the 2017 Attorney General’s Award for Fraud Detection and the 2020 HHS Inspector General Award for Innovation. Dr. Adaniya is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor at The Ohio State University, College of Public Health, where she serves on the CPH Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Excellence Committee. Naomi is also active with Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute’s Alumni Association and volunteers with the (DC) Metropolitan Police Department’s Community Engagement Academy.
