Dr. Fakiha Siddiqui, is a pre-doctoral fellow at the Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia. Spain, working on a joint program on venous thromboembolism (VTE) and pulmonary embolism (PE) with the Loyola University Medical Centre in Chicago, Illinois, USA. She recieved Bachelors of Dental Surgery degree in 2014 and opted to conduct biomedical research, focussing on metaloproterasses. She pursed a post-graduate program in Hemostasis & Thrombosis, focusing on molecular pathogenesis of VTE. Currently, a doctoral program is focued on the understanding of the blood cellular indices and their relevance to the biomarkers of thrombo-inflammation. In this context, She as a member of RIETE (Registro Informatizado Enfermedad TromboEmbolica) Registy, carrying out a project on "Predictive value of cellular indices and thrombo-inflammatory biomarkers in patients with malignancy and venous thromboembolism (VTE)". She plans to expand this research program by including multiple cohorts of patients, by recruiting additonal patients from international centers.
