Verena Schroeder, PhD, Associate Professor, Department for BioMedical Research, University of Bern, Bern, Switzerland.
Verena Schroeder studied Pharmacy at the University of Basel. She carried out her PhD thesis on coagulation FXIII at the University Hospital Bern. After a two-year postdoctoral stay at the University of Leeds (UK), Verena returned to Bern and set up her own research group to continue her research on FXIII and on interactions between coagulation and complement. Verena served as Chairman of the FXIII and Fibrinogen SSC Subcommittee (2016-2020). In 2013, Verena received her “Habilitation” from the Medical Faculty of the University of Bern and in 2019 her Associate Professorship. Since 2016, Verena has been responsible for the reintroduction of the full Bachelor and Master courses in Pharmacy at the University of Bern. Since 2020, she is Director of Studies for the Master in Pharmacy.
