Shannon Glover, MLIS, AHIP, Coordinator, Health Sciences Library for Northeast Georgia Health System in Gainesville, GA. Shannon received her Bachelor of Science in Health Science with an emphasis in Community Health Education from Georgia Southern University. She received her Master of Library and Information Science with an emphasis in Medical Librarianship from Valdosta State University. Shannon has been working in libraries for over twenty years, with a diverse background in academic, medical, and public library settings. Currently, her role as medical librarian is to bridge the gap between health professionals and medical information. Shannon is an active member of her local, regional, and national professional library organizations. She's a member AAMLA Caucus, Hospital Library, & Clinical Librarians and Evidence-Based Healthcare Caucus. Locally, she serves as Immediate past president of Georgia Health Sciences Library Association (GHSLA). Her interest includes community outreach, consumer health education, and DEI.
