Ramana Vaka is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute (Laboratory of Dr. Darryl Davis). He received a PhD in Experimental Therapeutics and Pharmacology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center (Laboratory of Dr. Babbette LaMarca) in 2019. He then completed a one-year industry fellowship in Clinical Pharmacology at the University of Southern California-Allergan, Irvine California before starting his postdoctoral training at the Ottawa Heart Institute. His postdoctoral research work focuses on developing novel stem cell-based treatments for heart disease.
