Dr. Dominique Kushneriuk graduated in Integrative Physiology from the University of Colorado on an athletic scholarship in 2010, before making her way to Europe to complete her MD in Poland. She finished her Internal Medicine and Cardiology residencies at the University of Saskatchewan followed by a fellowship in echocardiography at the Vancouver General Hospital. She is currently completing a fellowship in Cardiac Rehabilitation and Prevention at the University of British Columbia, with a special interest in Women's Heart Disease, Hypertension and Obesity medicine. She currently sits on the Canadian Society of Echocardiography (CSE) board of directors as the trainee representative and the CCS trainee committee as the CSE representative. She has a particular area of interest in medical education and refining echocardiography competencies in cardiology training as part of the Canadian ECO Project, with funding from the Cardiovascular Ultrasound Research Excellence Award for Technology and Education Grant.
