Telecommunications Supervisor Brown County Public Safety Green Bay, Wisconsin
Billi Jo brings a unique perspective on loss and healing. The daughter of a 911 dispatcher and a 911 dispatcher herself, Billi Jo found out what it is like to be on the other side of a call. In December of 2008 a fire broke out in her family home, claiming the lives of her mother, father and youngest brother. She became head of the family to the four remaining siblings and guardian to the youngest. Through all the changes, loss and struggles, Billi Jo found a way to heal herself in a healthy way and continue serving the community in a job she loves.
