Training Coordinator
Jasper County Emergency Services
JOPLIN, Missouri
My name is Chelsea Finn and I am the Training Coordinator for Jasper County Emergency Services in Carthage, MO. I have been a 911 dispatcher for almost 10 years. I worked 3 years at Branson Police Department, 1 year at Springdale Police Department and going on 7 years at JASCO. I have been a Telecommunicator, Telecommunicator II, Team Leader and a deputy TAC for JASCO. I was recently promoted to the Training Coordinator for my agency. I have been APCO CTO certified for almost 8 years. I recently received my certification in CTO-I through APCO. I am a member of the Historical Committee for MOAPCO. I have completed the full 40 hour course for Level 1 Crisis Negotiator. I graduated in 2020 with my Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice. My career goal is to become an Operations Manager or a Director at a 911 center. I love to train future dispatchers and help them succeed. I want to help remind dispatchers how important our career is not just to citizens, but to the first responders too. Especially to the first responders, because right now they do not have a lot of support from citizens. They deserve all the support and hard work we can provide them.
