Presentation Description: This class will discuss dispatch burnout in a different way than just the types of calls we take or our workload. What about burnout from negativity from within the communications room itself? What about the negative comments, or opinions, about our first responders? How does that affect our stress levels and moods while at work? How does it affect our ability to do our job? Do you see your co-workers becoming more reactive instead of proactive because of their negative opinions or comments? How can we help to bring positivity back to the communications room and keep dispatchers proactive?

Participants will be able to tell the difference between being Proactive or Reactive
Participants will be able to notice more signs of burnout
Participants will be able to have more strategies to help cope with negativity in the communications room and how to bring positivity back to their communications room and help their dispatchers go from reactive to proactive again.
