Presentation Description: As we are caught up in the planning and implementation of NG911, let's not forget our most valuable resource. . . the people. While technology is vital to a successful transition to NG911, so are the people. In fact, if the telecommunicators are not using the technology or using the new features, we are not accomplishing our goals. If the public does not know what is available and how to use it, we have not moved forward. Training, SOPs, wellness initiatives and education must be addressed. Let's close the gap and focus on our people! Technology + People = Success

In this session attendees will learn why it is important to focus on the people, in addition to the technology when implementing NG911.
Attendees will learn from other attendees as well as the presentation material what 9-1-1 entities are doing to prepare their people for NG911.
Attendees will get resources to help develop their own people plans for NG911.
