Cathy Zimmerman, Bookmobile Associate at the Scott County Library, served as the 2020 President of the Association of Bookmobile and Outreach Services. As an Exofficio to the ABOS Board of Directors, she is chair of the Long Range Planning committee and Vendor Coordinator. Cathy is employed by the Scott County Library System in Eldridge, Iowa where she is the Bookmobile Associate. Heavily involved in Outreach, the bookmobile serves all of Scott County, numerous schools, daycare/preschools and Senior living facilities. In addition to rural routes and schools, senior programming is also provided. Programs at the Independant, Assisted and Memory Care level account for half of the outreach week. A Memory Cafe has recently been added to the activities. It is proving very successful. This is the third time she has presented at ALA.
