Christina E. Bailey, MD, MSCI, FACS is an Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Division of Surgical Oncology and Endocrine Surgery and General Surgery Program Director at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She received her medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Science Center and completed her general surgery residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Dr. Bailey then completed a fellowship in Complex General Surgical Oncology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Her primary clinical interest is gastrointestinal malignancies including gastric cancer, small bowel cancer, colorectal cancer, sarcoma, and neuroendocrine tumors. Her research focus is disparities in cancer diagnosis, treatment and outcomes regarding age, socioeconomic status and race as well as quality of life after cancer treatment.
