Bob Currie is the Vice President of Product and Strategy at Kevala. Bob is responsible for the company's strategic roadmap, product roadmap, and product development process. Kevala's comprehensive data analytics platform creates actionable intelligence for utilities, regulators, Governments, Developers and more, to accelerate decarbonization activities. Prior to joining Kevala, Bob served as co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Smarter Grid Solutions. He is an experienced leader and manager of research and development, software development, technology strategy, and company roadmap initiatives. Bob has expertise in distributed energy resource (DER) management systems, grid modernization, hosting capacity, power system planning and operation, and ADMS/SCADA/OT technologies and architectures. He is a co-inventor of Active Network Management (ANM), a key technical capability required to manage distribution grid constraints under high penetrations of renewable and distributed energy resources. He is a participant in industry, regulator, and standards bodies, and UK and US Government working groups related to renewable and distributed energy integration with the power grid. He is a regular speaker at events and conferences, including as an invited speaker at the UN Climate Action Stakeholder Consultation conference, addressing the Deputy Secretary General of the General Assembly and the President of the General Assembly. Bob holds a bachelor's degree, master's degree, and PhD from the University of Strathclyde, Scotland.
