Jamie Daggett serves as Director of Energy Storage Engineering at DNV. Mr. Daggett has led multiple energy storage, solar technology, solar plus storage, wind plus storage, electrolyzer, and fuel cell technology reviews and provided project management and technical expertise for numerous deployed projects across the United States and Canada. Jamie has a broad understanding of renewable energy markets with deep technical competence in mechanical, electrical, control architecture, and safety as it applies to equipment and system integration. Prior to DNV, he worked in energy storage and advanced energy for over a decade at multiple clean tech start-ups in both technical leadership and management roles. His most recent position was Project Manager at a Portland, Oregon, based flow battery company called Energy Storage Systems, Inc. (ESS). At ESS, Mr. Daggett led the development of controls, data acquisition, power electronics, and mechanical design for ESS’s first commercial flow battery system. Before ESS, Mr. Daggett was a senior engineer and technical lead for a joint Boeing/DARPA effort developing fuel cells and electrolyzers at a company called Versa Power Systems in Littleton, Colorado. Mr. Daggett brings a mechanical background from Stanford University where he earned a BSME along with a systems focus from the Colorado School of Mines where he earned a MS in Engineering Systems.
