Lukas is a proffessionally licensed electrical engineer who's background includes distribution operations for electric utilities, substation design, development and design of battery energy storage systems (BESS), and electric vehicle charging infrastructure. He has spent the last 7 years working as an engineering consultant for a diverse set of clients, including public utilities, municipalities, renewable energy developers, large commercial and industrial facilities, and the military. Lukas was a recipient of a research grant through the HDR Fellowship program and has spent the past year studying the charging infrastructure associated with medium-duty and heavy-duty electric vehicle fleets, and how Distributed Energy Resources can provide numerous benefits to the owners and operators of such fleets. Lukas currently leads the BESS engineering group at HDR and lends his passion and experience to supporting design and development of BESS projects big and small.
