Challenges and opportunities of gene therapy delivery using recombinant adeno-associated virus will be discussed, with a focus on delivering suppressor tRNAs for rare diseases caused by nonsense mutations.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion, participants will be able to describe the key features of recombinant adeno-associated virus as a gene delivery platform.
Upon completion, participants will be able to understand the importance of regulated transgene expression in gene therapy.
Upon completion, participants will be able to understand how a suppressor tRNA works to rescue a disease caused by a nonsense mutation.
