Dr. Tianzhi Yang is a Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Husson University School of Pharmacy. Dr. Yang received her Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Peking University Health Sciences Center in Beijing, China, then completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Texas Tech University School of Pharmacy. Dr. Yang’s research has been focusing on understanding the blood-brain barrier (BBB) and developing new therapeutic approaches for brain diseases. She has published numerous papers in peer-reviewed journals and presented her research findings at many national and international conferences. Dr. Yang has received several grants from intramural and extramural sources, including the Maine Cancer Foundation and the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Dr. Yang is a licensed pharmacist. Her teaching, research, and practicing experiences help students well connect pharmaceutical sciences to pharmacy practice.
