Serge Guzy Holds a PhD at the Technion in Biomedical Engineering (Haifa, Israel), a master’s degree at the Weizmann Institute in biomathematics and Chemistry and a B. Sc degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Brussels. Serge brings vast professional experience, serves as President, and CEO of Pop Pharm, an American corporation which provides Pharmacometrics consulting services. Serge is currently Affiliate Professor at the University of Maryland, Adjunct Professor at the University of Minnesota, Visiting Professor at the Medical School of Jerusalem, Courtesy Professor at the College of Pharmacy, Florida, and Adjunct Professor at the University of Denver.
Serge Guzy is the Co-developer of the MC-PEM algorithm for Mixed Effect Modeling, which uses the expectation maximization algorithm combined with importance sampling, and Maximum a posteriori estimation. It is one of the most used algorithms for Population Pharmacokinetic analysis and is proven to be unbiased, precise, stable, and robust.
Serge Guzy provides consulting services in general Pharmacometrics, but in addition experts in the analysis of non-continuous likelihood-based response analysis. It includes Continuous and discrete Markov processes, generalized time to event analysis, Count data analysis, categorical multi-level analysis and item response theory.
