Dr. Cook is currently the Population Health Team Lead at Viatris, developing evidence strategies that harness population health data to improve patient outcomes for heterogeneous populations of patients with different preferences. Evidence plays a crucial role in informing health care market decision makers and can help foster better outcomes, including through the use of innovative drug development and contracts. By identifying and quantifying systemic interactions and variations in effects and behaviors, areas for improvement can be identified and strategies devised and implemented to improve health care. He previously worked at Pfizer for over 10 years and at NERA Economic Consulting. He has worked on economic policy, market design and auctions, competition and intellectual property valuation, pricing and market access, evidence development, and has been published in economics and health economics journals, including the Journal of Political Economy, the Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, American Law & Economics Review, Antitrust, PharmacoEconomics, Health Economics, and Value in Health.
