Dr. Ana Isabel Fraguas Sánchez received her PhD in Pharmacy from the Complutense University of Madrid in 2019, receiving the Doctorate Extraordinary Award from the Faculty of Pharmacy and the “Juan Abello I” thesis prize from the Doctor Academy of Spain. She is author of 26 peer review articles, most of them of the highest quality. She is author of 5 book chapters, and has participated in more than 30 scientific conferences, receiving several prizes for her scientific contribution, highlighting “JUAN ABELLO prize” granted by Spanish Royal Academy of Pharmacy for the work entitled “Cannabinoid based chemo-nanotherapy for the treatment of gynaecological tumours”. She serves as reviewer of ISI journals published by the Wiley, Elsevier, Springer, Hindawi and MDPI; and serves as co-editor of several special issues in MDPI journals. Moreover, she has participated in the organizing committee and as abstract screener in several workshops and conferences. She has done several predoctoral and postdoctoral research stages (Italy, Switzerland, and Finland). Her research group is focused on the design, development, and characterization of controlled drug delivery systems with a special focused on polymeric formulations (implants, micro and nanoparticles).
