Continuous manufacturing in the pharmaceutical industry has continued to progress along the adoption curve at an expected rate, with new drug approvals, equipment and raw material vendors, academic research and regulatory guidance progressing steadily. With these technologies now prevalent across all modalities, have these technologies moved beyond the 'emerging' phase and into the 'established' phase, and what does the industry need to realize the full benefits as it moves towards Industry 4.0?
