Altis Biosystems has developed a patented next-generation intestinal primary cell platform that recreates the human intestinal epithelial layer using stem and differentiated cells – either of the large or small intestine. It can be used for high throughput compound screening, disease modeling, and microbiome research. It can also be used to study many aspects of drug disposition including toxicity, metabolism, drug absorption, and efficacy. Our cells are derived from full length, transplant grade normal donor intestinal tissue, with multiple donors available.
