Megan graduated from Texas State University with her Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration and later a Master’s in Healthcare Human Resources. Through the world of ophthalmology, where Megan has spent the last four years of her 12 years in the medical field, she developed a tremendous passion for preventing blindness. She currently serves as the Director of Patient Experience at Austin Retina Associates focusing on community involvement, business relations, marketing, and employee engagement. She has written several marketing articles for Administrative Eyecare magazine, presented at multiple ASOA annual conferences, and recently served on the half Helen board of directors – a local nonprofit dedicated to providing children with the precious gift of sight. Outside of work, you will often find Megan spending time with her husband and three young kids, working on self-care (which may or may not include a mix of exercise and shopping), traveling and volunteering at church.
