In her role as vice president, operations, Beth Austin oversees the organizational strategy, client service delivery, and operational development of Spectrum Management Services Company (SMSC) and also provides executive oversight for the marketing, internal and external communications, and business development functions for Spectrum Healthcare Partners (SHCP). In 2019, she co-led the creation of SMSC, which now provides a comprehensive suite of practice management and financial services to clients across the U.S.
Prior to joining Spectrum, Beth was the owner of a boutique healthcare consulting firm for 15 years. During her tenure as a consultant, she worked with healthcare organizations across the U.S. to advise on complex strategic planning, operations, and communications challenges. She also previously served as the executive director of a specialty physician IPA representing more than 275 physicians across 15 specialties. Shas been a featured speaker on a variety of subjects including strategy, workplace culture and employer branding, employee engagement, and a range of topics related to healthcare communications.
She graduated with highest distinction from the University of Maine in Orono, Maine, with a BA in English/creative writing and an MA in communications.
