Kenneth Beckman is a cornea and cataract specialist in Columbus, Ohio. He completed his cornea and external disease fellowship at Tulane University in New Orleans, La. He is Director of Corneal Services at Comprehensive EyeCare of Central Ohio and Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at The Ohio State University.
Dr Beckman's areas of interest include dry eye disease, cornea and cataract surgery, and keratoconus management, including corneal crosslinking. Dr Beckman is active in clinical research and published numerous articles in the ophthalmology literature related to dry eyes, keratoconus, and other corneal diseases. He has participated in many clinical trials as well, including six trials involving keratoconus, and speaks around the world on cornea disease and cataract surgery.
Dr Beckman was a founding member of AECOS and CEDARS-ASPENS, as well as the first president of CEDARS-ASPENS. He was a co-chairman of the CEDARS dry eye algorithm, published in 2017.
