Black, Indigenous and people of color are often left disenfranchised due to the racial and other inequities embedded in our country’s systems. Human and social service community-based organizations provide critical direct supports to marginalized individuals, families and communities. We will explore specific ways organizations can deepen their commitment to advancing diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), using a matrix developed by the Alliance for Strong Families and Communities-Council on Accreditation (Alliance-COA). Get real-world insight from an organization that is currently engaged in DEI at different points of their journey.

Learning Objectives:

Define a viable pathway for the social sector to engage and lean into DEI journey through the Alliance-COA DEI matrix.
Analyze real lived experiences of a social sector organization on their respective EDI journey illustrating what it takes for organizations to advance their EDI journey.
Gauge the Alliance-COA Commitments of High-Impact Nonprofit framework providing a strategic roadmap to achieve greater impact, focusing on what organizations do and what they achieve through the lens of equity.
