Royal Oaks Hospital/Compass Health

Tenea M. Lowman, Psy.D. is a licensed psychologist in the state of Missouri and Deputy Chief Clinical Officer (DCCO) for Royal Oaks Hospital (part of the Compass Health Network). Dr. Lowman began her career with Royal Oaks in 2004, beginning as a predoctoral intern, subsequently completing her postdoctoral residency, and has remained at Royal Oaks serving various roles. In addition to her current role as DCCO, she also serves as the Director of Clinical Services, Adult Program Director, and Training Director for the pre doctoral internship program, which is part of the National Psychological Training Consortium. Dr. Lowman has been training future psychologists since 2006, has taught graduate level group therapy classes, and has served on the board of directors for Child Safe of Central Missouri, a Child Advocacy Center with the mission to respond to and prevent child abuse. Her current areas of clinical interest include coordination of aftercare upon discharge from inpatient hospitalization, group therapy, and psychosis.
Though Dr. Lowman has obtained "as many degrees as a thermometer" over her academic career, her greatest achievement is the family she's created. She and her husband Jeff have been married for almost 15 years and have two daughters, Hannah (12) and Alex (9). When they aren't cheering for their girls at ball games, meets, or matches, they enjoy working out, finding reasons to celebrate, sarcastic one-liners, and belly laughs. Dr. Lowman is also convinced that she has the most beautiful Pekingese ever, SeƱor (ask her to show you a picture...you won't be disappointed).
