Stigma and fear of “exposure” have impeded people being authentic at work, home and particularly on social media. But shared hardship has forced us to be more real with each other. It’s time to find ways to be more real with the person we see in the mirror every day and embrace our default.
Learning Objectives:
Define what a "default" is, the role it plays in self and outer perceptions and how stigmatization and marginalization undermine its value in a person.
Differentiate between being "conditioned" and being "determined" by the hardships humans face and how these differences shape identities.
Identify your own "default" and apply the four-point principles of purpose that underly embracing one's default.
