In 2018 there were more than 1.1 million young people living in poverty with unmet mental health needs. In communities experiencing poverty and communities of color, young people often do not have access to mental health services or lack insurance coverage to receive quality mental health care. We will highlight the positive impacts of having mobile response that excludes law enforcement. You will have the opportunity to learn about three mobile response models, 988 crisis hotline, critical principles for implementation and think through how similar models can be beneficial in their communities.
