Program Manager, Adult Extended Care Compass Health Everett, Washington
The National Council’s Medication Adherence Learning Community focused on addressing medication non-adherence by increasing engagement and implementing clinical best practices. We will focus on why medication adherence is important, methods to improve it and how to effectively disseminate that information. We will give examples of how to use trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing and shared decision-making to improve outcomes along with our methods of tracking, testing and data reports to measure the impact of the program.
Learning Objectives:
Define medication adherence.
Participants should be able to list the three clinical best practices that can help improve medication adherence.
Introspectively analyze your own agency and identify at least one tool or technique that could be applied to improve medication adherence.
