Amira Hanna, Ph.D., is a second-year postdoctoral fellow within the Neuropsychology and Learning Service at NYU Langone Child Study Center. During her doctoral training in clinical psychology, Dr. Hanna has primarily focused on accumulating experience in conducting comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations with individuals across the age range, from elementary school to young adults. In addition, Dr. Hanna has experience in conducting bilingual evaluations with Arabic-speaking families. She is especially interested in evaluating children with various conditions that affect academic functioning, including ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, verbal and nonverbal learning issues, and social and emotional difficulties. Dr. Hanna has also provided executive functioning and organizational skills coaching to college students with academic, social, and emotional struggles. In addition to her neuropsychology training, Dr. Hanna has experience providing psychotherapy to children and young adults with a wide range of diagnoses and across clinical settings, including inpatient and outpatient, utilizing DBT and integrative therapeutic approaches. Finally, Dr. Hanna has experience working with LGBTQ+ youth, providing gender-affirming therapy, and conducting gender evaluations.
